I don't know exactly how fast can i read... but i know that i am a slow reader... Especially if it is fiction books.. i like to read slowly and enjoy the story.

That works too. Sometimes when I start reading a book that I really like, I can't put it down, even when I'm really hungry or sleepy.

Well, you certainly can't calculate it on your own. I think you have to take a reading test to know how your reading speed. I found this free reading test online. You might want to try it out. http://www.readingsoft.com/

I'm a slow reader. I can read and understand very well but I like to reread the passages that I just read to make sure I catch all the details.

I never pay attention to my reading speed,but I think it depends on situation. The speed of your reading is subject to what kind of books or passages you are reading. Your topic made me thought something like Bacon's had said SOME BOOKS HAD TO BE DIGESTED; SOME BOOKS HAD TO BE SWALLOWED; AND SOME BOOKS ----

I guess I'll have to agree with this one. It really does depend on what your reading. Books that I'm required to read in college take me about a week to finish, while books which I'm really into only take me about less than a day to finish!

havent keep track on my reading skills but i think i can finish a pocket book in 3 hours...but what im interested more is how you understand what you have read and not how fast you have read it...
