Being Beautiful ...Black is nonetheless unfair than the White .

I don't think beauty is color exclusive by any stretch of the imagination. (In my opinion) The misconception comes about mostly because of US media that is distributed world wide. I'm talking about fashion magazines, television shows, movies, etc. What people are seeing around the world is mostly white/caucasians as examples of "beautiful people" in these media outlets. Although the US is extremely culturally and racially diverse the numbers just dictate that more white people are going to be seen because 66% of the population of the US is caucasian (according to the 2005 US Census Bureau). It has less to do with beauty than it does with numbers. I think the same goes for European media. It's just a matter of numbers. There is more media from Europe being distributed around the world than ever before, for example there are numerous French high fashion/beauty magazines, British TV shows and movies, etc., and "by the numbers" there are more caucasian people in these countries than other races. Unfortunately this is being misunderstood as "this is what everyone should think of as beautiful". If there were more (for example) African fashion magazines or Bollywood movies being distributed world wide this misunderstanding wouldn't be there. When it comes down to it, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and I truely believe that beauty is "color-blind".

Beauty should not be judged by a persons looks. I have known many woman who are very pretty on the outside but are very ugly on the inside. I have known men that are not great to look at but they have great personalities and sense of humor. I don't think anyone should be judged by the color of their skin either. Beauty is more than skin deep and the world would be a better place if everyone realized this.

I think that the real beauty is n't only white colour. It does n't have too much attraction but the real attraction is in the pious, soft & kind nature of a woman. Plenty of black women've succeed in getting good position in this world more than many white women only due to their talent & passion. No doubt! a dark woman can too be pretty.

Yes, it is wrong. Whoever said that to you is a dumbazz! I have seen many women in my lifetime, many women of many different races, in fact. I have seen many beautiful women in all races, and I have seen many plain-jane's in all races. Skin tone doesn't have jack to do with it.

When you look for the real character of a person, you must search within, deep down to the soul. Skin pigment, beauty, fantastic figure, all have nothing to do with how special a person is. It all lies inside them. Those who radiate love, honesty, loyalty and understanding, and who are always there for there friends, no matter what; way outweight looks and colour. Brightes Blessings.

Beauty is beauty no matter the color of the skin or the race. I have found in my life that I don't look at color but at the beauty inside a person. A person can be beautiful on the outside and ugly inside.

I don't believe that being pretty or not has anything to do with color. I know alot of pretty wemen of all colors. Why would you ask this? Has someone said something to you or about you?

I agree with that. I've always thought dark-skinned Indian women are among the most gorgeous in the world. There is just something overpoweringly beautiful about the combination of dark hair and eyes and dark skin. And I think many white males also see Asian females as being more attractive than pale-skinned girls. I suspect that perhaps many people find women from different races than their own to be more exotic, which makes them seem more attractive.

yes.. i do agree with you.. it actually depends on a few factor.. and not just one.. it's a misconception that only white is pretty.. dark can be pretty too.. to me, it actually depends on the face cut.. the look... the hair .. and the type of skin.. for example, beyonce or pussycatdolls group.. the main singer is really pretty to me.. i think she had a very perfect skin colour.. just nice.. and she has a very beautiful body as well.. that's considered as pretty girl.. isn't it? that's why.. fair skin people should stop discriminating dark skin people as we both live in the same world.. do you agree? :)
