One of them was The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity by Catherine Ponder. This book has been around for over 2 decades and a few years ago was updated. This is more of a self-help motivational book and well worth reading. No murders, crimes or bad guys...only pure inspiration and down to earth advice. The book talks about creating success, prosperity and happiness. After reading this book, you will think you have just visited another planet...a place where everything in your life works.

Gearld N Lund has a series of books on the pioneers. They are historical fiction. There are a total of 9 volumes and each volume is really thick. I just love them all. I have read all of them 3 times. Each summer I read them again. They make me laugh then cry and then feel so thankful that we have the freedom that we have today. I am refering to The Work and The Glory Series. They give you a deep appreciation for what the pioneer went throug and the struggles taht they had to assure that we had our Religious freedom. I highly reccoment them.

I am actually judging some inspirational books for a contest. I like to read all different kinds of stories and try to mix it up. I just finished reading a book called Slow Burn by Julie Garwood and another called Standoff by Sandra Brown. I am currently in the middle of a book called Shiver by Lisa Jackson. I am the kind of reader that I can have 3 books going at once. I also will sometimes get so wrapped up in a book that I have to stay up until I finish it.
I really recommend Standoff. It kept me on the edge of my seat and was one that I had to finish in one night to see what happened.
I like books that have suspense and romance all mixed up in one.

Hi CrazyNurse!
The last book I read was Dave Ramsey's Money Makeover. It's a GREAT book that really helped me get a perspective on my finances and what is TRULY important. We are trying to get to that debt free living status, although it might be a long way away!! My husband has his docorate in Higher Education and he has $70,000 in outstanding student loans!!!!!! Ya... seriously. He does.
The book I read before that was "Captivating" by Stasi Eldredge. It is a non fiction book, centered on Christian living and the way God made us women. It taught me how to appreciate being a female, and the way we think and do and need things different from a man. It's a great book if you are a Christian lady.
So there you have it.
