what is your favorite dashboard confessional song or cd? do you prefer the older eps or the newer full band? i love the old acoustic stuff when it was just chris carrabba and a guitar. but the newer songs are alot more radio friendly obviously. he's playing in atlanta with some of the american idols, which i think is weird.

their old stuff is much better than shade of poison trees. just vocals and strumming guitars, it feels so good listening to their older eps.

I really like "Vindicated" from the Spiderman soundtrack the best of all the Dashboard songs. They are from where I live... my brother used to go see them all the time when they were still a local band. It's always cool to see local people make it big.

Having seen Chris solo and with the full band, I have to say the solo show was more fun - it was also 2 hours whereas the full band set was barely 45 minutes... might have had something to do with it. *shrug* But as for the music, I don't prefer old over new. My favorite songs are Thick as Thieves, Vindicated, Bend and Not Break, Don't Wait, Saints and Sailors, Hands Down, Stolen, and Where There's Gold. I love that at almost any moment in a show, he can stop singing, let the audience carry the song and no one misses a beat.

Hands down, my favorite song of Dashboard COnfessional is definitely Hands Down. lol. Sorry for the pun. Anyway, I just think the song is so happy compared to their other songs and I really love the lyrics. Of course, I would always want my boyfriend to say that we had the best day ever.

Does dash board confessional really confess things? Does he do it well? Is it interesting? Revealing and insightful? Does it inspire thought? I don't think all confessions have to inspire thought. Do you? I'm just saying this because his name involves confession. The name seems like an important piece of the gig. And that everything would follow this in category. But I am probably not right, and this is just what the artist intends. If a song breaks free from his first view, then I think that is OK. You probably don't care about this. But I see it is relevant. People are fascinating. They do break free from what they intend and do other things. Fans may be flabbergasted.

My favorite dashboard confessional songs are: Stolen, dont wait, remember to breathe, this brilliant dance, hands down, screaming infidelities, vindicated, saints and sailors. I prefer both coz he's still part of the band. He still composed those songs that can make you cry all night and can make you smile. He's the best singer/composer for me. As in the great, nobody will ever compare to him. He's different and he is unique.

My favorite Dashboard Confessional song is Hands Down. I like the lyrics and the tune and how it was sang. I did not like the video though and this is kinda old. Other songs I like are Vindicated and Stolen. The new songs and albums have better music videos but my top-one would still be Hands Down. Actually, Hands Down is my number one favorite song. Looking forward to their new album and songs.

My favorite song is by far The End of An Anchor. I like the melody a lot. I can only play the beginning right now and I need to work on the rest of it. It's a long song, lol. The lyrics are mesmerizing. I think this song is the epitome of Dashboard.

hi aweaver4. i like both actually. chris' song's when he was starting are more personal while the songs with the band are more accessible and like what you said radio-friendly. i think dashboard confessional is a really great band. the music is great and the lyrics are bitter, angst-ridden nuggets of knowledge, that can only exists int he darkest corner of a broken man's heart. "vindicated" is my favorite song and "swiss army romance" is my favorite album.

The new CD is a lot different from the older stuff. It took me a while to get used to it. But I like it now. I think my favorite album would be The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most. My favorite song is Saints and Sailors.
