Personally, I love cats. I have never seen someone be afraid of a cat, unless maybe it was a bobcat or something :-), though I know people who don't like cats. I wonder what happened to make your friend so afraid of cats. I guess my nephew and niece were a little afraid of strange cats when they were two or three years old, but that's different.

well, maybe the fear was caused by the fact that these cats are strangers to the friend. or, it could be that the friend had a bad experience with a cat before. cats do bite sometimes and when they will claw on people, it really hurts so much.

Yes, I've never been bitten by a cat, but I have been clawed at by a couple, and it does hurt. Most cats are sweet, but some can be mean. My sister had a cat that used to hide in the shadows and leap out and claw people's ankles. Definitely not appreciated. Both my cats have very sweet temperaments, so I am very lucky :-).

in our flat, sometimes i let my cat go out of our room. He just sit and watch our flatmates come and go. But i have one flatmate who is afraid of cats. One time, we didn't notice that our cat went out of our room. Then suddenly i recieved a text message from my flatmate that she's inside the bathroom and can't go out coz my cat is hangin' around near the bathroom. We were laughing tooo much coz imagine, as small cat made her freak out in the bathroom that she thinks it's somekinda of a monster....

Yes, very funny to watch someone afraid pets like cat, I have friends afraid with lizard.

It's funny you afraid cats....ocourse can be funny for us but not for the person we afraid of.I don't afraid cat,I love them but no I haven't ever cat as a pet.
I suppose your friend when he see a cat react like me when I see a mouse ......even you there can hear my scream !!!

wow never guessed that anyone could be afraid of cats unless they r big cats!!;) i think cats r so cute that's it's almost impossible to hate them:) but maybe ur friend had had a bad experience with some cat in his childhood.afterall cats r very unpredictable and one never knows when they r going to rub against u or when to bite u (according to my brother who had a past of bad experiences with our pet cats;))
