I just happened upon this beautiful poem and had to share it. It seemed to say the things that I feel about each of my new friends here at MYLOT.
Thanks for making my days a little brighter and my heart a little fuller.

That is so sweet and true. I have what I call "ivisable friends" - my friends from the internet. I talk so much about them to my family and other friends that all I hear is "Who is that?" When I say it's a friend from the internet it's usually a groan or a sad face. They don't know what they're missing though.
I've even had the pleasure of meeting some of my "invisible friends" in real life. What a joy! I look forward to meeting more people.

LOL I hear you on that - I sometimes get the same reaction. I've mentioned all of my "MYLOT" friends so much now my husband has started to say things like "What does your discussion board say about this or that" He knows we usually have discussions on all the top news stories and of course American Idol and Dancing with the Stars.
It's so much better than Tabloid news LOL !!

Awww . . . what a beautiful poem; thank you for posting it - my sentiments exactly. It's surprising the bond that builds between some people over the internet, and it's happening right here on MyLot. I think we can all vouch for that!

Abbey- your so right. It's truly amazing when we think that 15-20 years ago we didn't have the internet. We were all writing those long handwritten letters and waiting on snail mail for the most recent family updates. Now I can talk to my sister daily online and it's so nice. Also now that we all have cell phones and long distance charges are not an issue we all tend to visit more and more often.
We are a society of "In-the-know" people.
I think it's terrific!
Glad you enjoyed the Poem - it just kind of said it all.!

Thanks for putting up with me. I'm just an old opininated woman who speaks her mind and tries to say how I feel and let the people that I care about know that I care about them. It's important that they know.... as we all know "Tomorrow is promised to No one" I don't want regrets for not saying the things that are important.

What a beautiful poem and so expressive of how so many of us feel about our online friends. I've had the pleasure of meeting about a half dozen or so of my online friends over the past 3 years, and they are even better in person. It's so nice to really put a face to all the words that have been exchanged...to say nothing of finally being able to give them a great big HUG. God Bless you also, my friend.
Oh, I did find out how to get rid of that "music" you told me about...LOL.

Thanks so much for the Best Response and, again, for posting that poem. It spoke volumes to me.
As for the "music" on my profile, it was being produced by a birthday card that one of my myLot friends had posted under "comments" on my profile. It took me a while to figure it out, but I'm very glad you pointed it out to me. The card was soooooo cute, and I love it, but that "music" had to go. I didn't hear it when I viewed the card because I usually have my sound off. I'll try and remember to turn it on when I check my comments.
