Actually, I found japs anime very impressive compared with other animators. I guess it boils down that the Japs are more creative than others and have the advance technology partner with their talents and yield and pretty impressive products... their anime. ^^

i used to watch a lot of anime before. that was when it was hard to get and there were just a few of us. we had an underground network of anime vids. so i'd watch any anime i could get my hands on. now a days it's just too saturated. it's on every tv channel, at local markets, even on the sidewalks. so now i don't watch as often as i used to they all seem the same to me. but now and then i'd chance upon a current anime that i'd find totally different and innovating. here are some of the anime i used to watch and love... el hazard, tenchie muyo, ranma 1/2, nadesico, you're under arrest, akazukin chacha, card capture sakura, and anything in the gibli studios...

lol. don't worry i got it the first time. and yes castle in the sky was made by studio ghibli. but i don't think he reached international recognition until after princess mononoke, and spirited away. you should watch howl's moving castle it's another great film.

Heya, I like anime too although im not a junkie like you put it, lol. The first one I ever saw was Ninja Scroll, all those years ago and I also used to watch Neon Genesis and ghost in the shell. I used to watch hellsing too. I have seen many other but i cannot think of them at the moment, those were the ones i watched the most though. I have seen dragonball Z of course too. Tanika.

Is this the result of a deeper interest in the arts than america is? I think so and of course the results are perfectly clear. I like anime way better no matter what the reason for why it's better is.
