when log ban was imposed in this country a decade ago, lot of forest resouces dependent families were displaced. i cant imagine why our intectual law makers failed to project and plan how to have these people be given their equal right to exist after more than four generations has contibuted to tax to the government and help maintain our ailing economy. at present, they lived in poverty; most are being run after by the environment agency for illegal logging-an activity punishable by law, because it is degrading our natural forest, our ecological balance and biodiversity. while it is fair perhaps to keep our forest, ecology and wildlife, is it also fair to let our brothers in the countryside to dwell in poverty? as project director of a non-government organization called THE TREE PLANTERS FEDERATION, i feel how my recipient-beneficiaries muddles in poverty. whenever we find the fun to see exhibition and tricks in circuses, our heart bleeds to see a sort of exhibition for how our dwellers in countryside survive day to day to exist, where most often, they were not certain where to find their lunch after breakfast, or where to find their dinner after lunch. one reason most of them were easily lured to insurgency. in effect, congress and senate appropriates more budget to militarization at the expense of education, and livelihood programs for the countryside. the countryside dwellers are given by theTREE PLANTERS FEDERATION, INC., technology transfer and planting materials of plantation species of trees to support industies in wood processing, marketing and export.but planters mostly are discouraged to go on planting because of unstable policy, changable rules and regulations emplementation due changes of administration or revamps in the cabinet, wherein farmers find difficulties to market during harvest period. HOW LONG WILL MY BROTHERS IN THE COUNTRYSIDE LIVE IN POVERTY IN THIS NATURAL RESOURCES RICH COUNTRY?

"HOW LONG WILL MY BROTHERS IN THE COUNTRYSIDE LIVE IN POVERTY IN THIS NATURAL RESOURCES RICH COUNTRY?" It will start with our one (1) vote, please be more selective on voting. Please let's choose lawmakers and law executives with has good track records with fear of God, with passion on serving Filipino people, non corrupt individuals (pretty ideal). VOTE "GO", lolz..

thank you, cruzades for sharing your comments in the subject i posted. somehow, we have been doing that one(1) vote ever since but the worst scenario comes everytime we choose new leaders. they become blinded at time pork barrel enter into their accounts. be selective? of course all of us does it, though we have nobody to choose with, because aspirants are lawyers, engrs, etc whom never experienced living in the countryside. they are bunch of people talking of human justice but riding in fancy wheels. can you recommend someboby who has the heart as those whose hands toiled the soil? im sure he can legislate based on the sentiments of our brothers in the countryside.

it is such a big issue for us to discuss. if the policy is unstable and easy to change, there is no fixed expectation for the people. so, maybe the economy activities can not be fully carried out

To tell you frankly, I think, as long as the people in the Phils are not united and as long as those politicians use money for their own and not for the people, poverty will still be there. But hope is also there, that is why I, myself, thank you for being there and holding on to what you believe in.
