you can download a video from you tube by this:
Bookmark a link, and change the URL to this:

Put it somewhere in your bookmarks--I put it on my Bookmarks Toolbar. Then, navigate to a YouTube video, click the link,
and a download window should pop-up asking to download a [insertrandomstringofnumbers].flv

try also to do reading on download helper. I've tried it and perfect. It can convert your flv files downloaded to any format it can support.
