Ok... I'm admitting my ignorance, forgive me! DS, DH, DD? What?

I am forever seeing these abbrev. for family members and I'm assuming the S is for son, the D for daughter, and the H for husband. But what is the D for?? Am I the only person in the free world who doesn't know this?

Thank you so much for asking this question , No! you are not the only one who doesn't know , I have worked some of them out , but some I just ignore lol , I will go read all of your responses and then we will both know what they mean lol xx

Usually it means..Darling Son, Darling Husband, darling Daughter....but I have heard it used other way,..LOL

I'm with you on this. I have no idea what those mean either so I can't wait to see if anyone has enlightened us. I've got some abbreviations down but not many. LOL

Sorry I haven't seen this before but I think it could be DD Daughters daughter DS daughters son, DH daughters husband, DD daughters Dad? I will keep on eye on this post to see any other suggestions.

Dear husband, dear son, dear daughter. But sometimes the "d" can stand for damn lol. Here's some more geek speak-mil= mother in law, fil= father in law, dsd=dear step daughter, dss=dear step son :)
