Have you been told since childhood to believe in something called God and religion or have you decided to be logical in life and refuse to believe in the Delusion of God.Personally I dont believe in God and i feel it was created by humans and ultimately religion to direct people in their pre-determined paths....what do you think?...Also i would recommend you all to read the books----God's Debris and The God Delusion

i believe in God - God
I believe in God. I'm a Catholic. Although I don't merely go to church lately, I still practice the doctrines of the church. Yes, religions are just created by humans. However, they are created to guide us to the path of our aimed salvation. In my case, I'm not saying that I'm a religious person. I just believe that there is an Almighty being higher than me up there. I recognize God as my King, my father, my guide, my provider, etc. I won't turn Him down ever. I will stand by His side no matter what happen. And I don't need any proof to fully believe His existence. It's really unexplainable. This is such an abstract concept. People may say we are illogical. Say anything you want. It's your right to do that. As long as I live, I'll stand by Him. I love you Lord.

No, I don't believe in a personal God, especially the white man in flowing robes offered by the church I grew up in. I respect people of faith, and the good their faith can bring about. The Bible is a fine piece of literature, with many excellent guidelines for how one should live their life. I just can't grasp, on any level, how people believe the history therein is any more accurate than any other, that is recorded decades after the events it describes. I also just don't understand how anyone can possibly think there is anything individual that drives the universe. I find it kind of amusing that most of the major religions name "man" as superior to all other living things, since we seem hellbent and determined to destroy the globe we all depend on. Why don't I believe in personal God? 3 reasons: 1. All these type faiths claim to be the one and only way, everyone else is doomed to eternal punishment. Kinda sounds like a clique to me; 2. They all say "man" is better than all other creatures, and the only one to feel or have a soul. What narcissistic nonsense! Most animals (mammals, at least) feel pain, boredom, fear, and love. Few humans can offer the unconditional and unwavering love that a dog feels for their person. Besides, this giving "man" dominion over all other creatures has led to the ecological disaster beginning to play out all over the world; apparently, "man" is not a good or careful steward; 3. They make women subject creatures, whose only purpose is to serve a man and bear children. It is my unshakeable belief that, were human society still matriarchal, this world would be different today to a degree that is nearly unimaginable! Males are born to fight for the right to procreate; females, to sustain the life once created. There are some exceptions, but all the large mammal societies work this way. Whose bright idea was it to put the fighters in charge?
