what is iron deficiency?

I dont know what is Iron deficiency? Can someone outthere know what is it. What are the symptoms of having iron deficiency?

Well, if you're iron deficient then usually you'll look very pale, an iron deficiency is when you don't have enough iron in your diet. You can take iron suppliments which will give you the extra iron you need or you could do it the easy way (unless you're vegetarian) & just add more red meat to your diet. I think you're supposed to have 4 or 5 servings of red meat a week (it could be more) so make sure you just add a little more to your meals! Maybe sausages, some extra minced meat in your pasta, anything that you have red meat in - LOL! Oh, since mushrooms are meat for vegetarians, adding mushrooms with your red meat dishes will add even more! So if you're not vegetarian you can have the meat, if you are vegetarian then try the iron suppliments & mushrooms! It's not hard to fix you just have to adjust your eating habits a little & make sure you keep up with the iron filled food intake.

Hemoglobin—an iron-rich protein that gives the red color to blood—carries the oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body. In people with anemia, the blood does not carry enough oxygen to the rest of the body. Red blood cells also remove carbon dioxide, a waste product, from cells and carry it to the lungs to be exhaled.

oh, i see! are you a doctor? Thanks for the details. May I know what are the foods that is rich in iron? Actually, every afternoon I feel i am very weak, and I feel like a melting candle. Do you think is it the symptoms that I am lack of iron?

Anemia is a condition where a person is iron deficient. When I was pregnant with my second child I had anemia. I collapsed a couple of times and my doctor gave me iron supplements. Consult your doctor if you think you're iron deficient so he could give you a prescription. Iron is important in the body because it helps strengthen our immune system.
