Is it demons that make bad things happen in life, or is it "God's Will"

I'm reading an interesting book called "Letters from a Skeptic", and the author indicates that he believes when bad things happen in life that sometimes it is because God doesnt' have all the control and that it cna be demons who are causing these things to happen. As an example he uses that fact that there are babies born deformed or people who get into horrific accidents or have illnesses that cause them to live in wheelchairs unable to move from the neck down, etc. What do you think of this? I was always of the belief that bad things happenned because God allowed it to happen because there may be a reason behind it that we weren't privy to know. I had a stillborn baby last November who was lost because my water broke at only 6 months, there is no medical reason for that, and nothing was wrong with the baby. Do you think this loss was God's doing (which I always assumed) or a demons doing?

There are real and logical reasons why things happen.Car accidents happen because people are careless or drunk.I'm very sorry to read about your lost.I do think that your Doctor should have a sensible answer for you.

i think, it's God's Will..that all of what is happening in this world, all are from God..i think what had happened to you before when your baby was lost because God has a purpose of that..maybe God want to make you a tougher person, that you need to face all the sacrifices and pains..that sometimes, if we do lots of experiences that is painful, we blame God and we dont believe to Him anymore, but that's only trials that we need to face..

well i feel its gods will. I feel god gives each individual enough time to correct himself and when he doesnt do, god has to punish him to save him from further mistakes. Its just a way of showing his love to his fellow disiples who needs to be brought back to the track of life.
As far as the new borns are concerned, i feel its their fate plus the fate of parents too. I would want to tell everyone here that such kids are special to god and they must be treated with care..after all, it could be you in their place too!
