Have you ever gotten your way out of a traffic ticket? How'd you do it?

I think I only had a speeding ticket once in my life. I was young and in a rush to get to my new job, so I didn't really say much. But, I know many people had gotten their way out of traffic tickets. I know my mom did a few times.

I did years ago, I was speeding and I just started to cry when I rolled down the window. I was so upset at myself for not paying attention, it wasn't a fake cry. I didn't get a ticket! He told me it was a warning and to be more careful. *knock on wood* I've never been pulled over since!

I have never been able to do that and I don't know how people can talk a cop out of a ticket.
I think it is a special knack that I just do not have. I don't think I will ever figure it out.
