How long would you cook a 4 oz. steak on a GF?

I personally love to marinate the steak first with about 1/4 cup worchester sauce, 1/8 cup steak sauce, 1 tsp. garlic powder, 1 tblsp. minced onion. Put it all in a bag and marinate as long as you can, a few minute to a day or 2 even. Once you're ready to cook up the steak, simply place on the grill, close up and cook. Length of time depends on the desired doneness.

Just long enough to be medium rare and those wonderful juices would add some flavor to my chosen vegetable. Not all of them just enough for flavor. You do not want to over cook your meat. Good luck cooking your steak and enjoying the eating of it. Steak is a good thing and we cannot afford it all the time.

sear it on both sides and cook to perfection. the steak should have the same texture as when you squeeze your hand between your thumb and index finger this is for medium rare. what kind of cut are you cooking. it makes a big difference in how you deal with your meal. what will you serve with it? baked or mashed, veggies?i like carrots slightly sweetened with iceing sugar dusting

It all depends on the thickness and how you want it cooked. I like mine cooked medium rare and eat it quickly while still hot. They become like chewing gum once it is cold. I never time how long I cook it for but somehow I always get it right. A good guess would probably be about 3 minutes if its about 1cm thick. I don't marinade my steak. I only use steak seasoning before cooking. George Forman is great specially if you want to cook your meat in a hurry.
