Thanks to my friends, Sorry to whoever was offended, it will not happen again

Recently I started a discussion that linked to my blog site. In that discussion I mentioned that I didn't know if I was or was not in the right in doing so. I was only asking for advice for getting traffic to the site and also asked my friends to check it out If They Chose, as I had a Contest going on. Thank you to all who did respond. It was much appreciated. However, unless you left a comment on the blog site, your response here is gone; as my discussion was deleted. This has never before happened to me and I am so sorry it has happened now. I am a bit angry for this happening as also very recently in a comment left on one of my discussions of a very serious nature, the person who responded left a "message" of ONLY links to other paying sites on the internet. I do not hold MyLot at all responsible for deleting my topic. In fact, it stayed up for a couple days and had several comments on it before it was deleted. That leaves me to believe that there are some renegade horseman out there that are fighting the "good fight" to rid MyLot of what they describe as "the inappropriate" posts. I do hope that if this is the case; that they first take a closer look at their own messages and make sure that before they report others that their own posts are squeaky clean; as are the methods they use in winding up their own discussions. Not only is it important to give each discussion a "best response", it is also important to actually give a "rating" to each one that has taken the time to comment to your post. Again, dear friends, thank you so much for all of your support. I know that several of you had sent me links to places where I could find the information that I needed and I am so sorry that you took the time to do that only to have everything deleted. MyLot, you still rock in my opinion. If I was reported and flagged, you had no choice but to act on the reporters request. Thank you for using your discretion and responsibility. ~Donna

Yes I remember your discussion Kitchenwitchoftupper I do not understand why people would not respond to your discussion correctly the way they should be but I guess it takes all kinds in mylot to ruin this for others. Yes if other members checked what they were doing and sending out in their discussions we would all enjoy this site very much and I have always enjoyed your discussions, and would love to hear more from you my friend and of course I believe also that MyLot still rocks today.

Thank you for your kind comments. I am going to continue to post and I will continue to comment on the discussions of others. I will always try to stay within MyLot guidelines; as least according to the way that I have interpreted them. I love this site, I love the friends I have made here, and I love being able to rant & rage as well as to offer a hand & shoulder when needed. ~Donna

I remember your discussion and I am sorry it was deleted. But could you do me a favor? Could you post your site again on your profile? I thought I had bookmarked it, but it is not in the folder I thought I had put it in. And when I go to your profile, the link there that is your site is to a Tupperware page that does not seem to be loading right for me. So, maybe if you put your blog site there, you might get more traffic and myLot I know allows that. :)

I'm with ya on this one. I had a post deleted almost immediately last week that was no worse than everyone leaving their blog link. I was a bit peeved and ranted about it briefly, you are so much kinder than I, lol. I say we hunt them down and tickle them till they pee their pants...

I answered a post the other night where someone insisted that he had been a "member of the MyLot police" and had been recruited to be one. I think that is outrageous and do not believe this to be true at all. I think it is more that people are bored and like to go to certain people's posts and just flag away. Soon they will tire of that. ~Donna

I noticed your discussion and thought it was probably a violation of the guidelines, but since you're not a scammer, I didn't think it really needed to be reported. Besides, my dialup connection means that I'm not going to spend time hassling people who obviously aren't habitual offenders. As you said, there are plenty that are so obvious that they deserve to be reported, but some are balancing on the line. It seemed to me that you were doing something potentially helpful in your discussion, but apparently mylot did think it went over that line. I think the best way to avoid any doubt is to make sure the discussion has enough useful substance so that a link isn't seen as its main reason. If I remember correctly, there's something to that effect in the guidelines.

I remember the post, checked out your blog site and am confused as to why the discussion would have been pulled. You are very gracious not to be angry at Mylot, but I think the Mylot admin needs to make a few changes-- and soon. Some people have nothing better to do than hit that Flag button. Whatever. I enjoy your posts, kitchenwitch!
