Does everything Indeed Happen For A Reason?

A good friend of mine has been trying to get pregnant for quite some time now, and the same is true for my sister-in-law.... I'd say both have been at it for about 2 years. Well my friend finally conceived, and we couldn't have been happier, but then for no reason the doctors can find, she lost it. Talk about being devastated, we cried together for hours, I've been in that situation and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy, let alone such a great friend as she....So anyway, we thought if everything happens for a reason, what good could possible come of such tragedy? We've just found out that my sister-in-law is now pregnant, it's been about 3 weeks since my friend lost hers, so that means my sister-in-law got pregnant just after my friend lost hers. . . . Sounds kinda weird, and I don't know what to make of it. So do you think that everything happens for a reason? Or is this a strange kind of coincidence?

I do think that bad things happen to help you learn things and to appreciate the good things in life more. I think this situation is probably a coincedence, but it is good for you to know thta at least it has happened for one friend so it can well happen for another as well.

I suppose that if one believes in a sovereign God, then one must believe that nothing happens outside of God's will (or at least, outside of His permission). Thus, God allows everything to happen in our lives, which means He must have some purpose for it. Therefore, everything happens for a reason.

i do think that things happen for a reason, but i think that your sister in law getting pregnant when she did was probably just a coincidence. maybe your friend could consider adopting and giving a child a loving home. i wish your friend and your sister in law the best of luck :)

everything happens for a reason. its what we called destiny, and every action there's always a corresponding reaction. So if ever something happens to us, it may be good or bad, it is for a reason.
