how to separate the syllables in English?

hello, need to know how to make the separation of syllables in English, could you help me pleas?!

Even English speakers need to look in the dictionary for that. If you look up a word, it should be separated into syllables.

ok, thank you! It's because I'm in doubts in wich words I have to use "more" or not in the comparative/superlative forms. The grammar says the adjectives of three or more syllables (not ending in Y or er) we have to use the words "more" or most to make the comparative or superlative form. Do you know something about that? Thank you!

Here's a link for more on that: http://web2.uvcs.uvic.ca/elc/studyzone/330/grammar/regcom.htm Keep in mind that some two-syllable words are exceptions: some take "more" or "most" and some take "er" or "est". There's probably a list online, if you do a search.
