When I was in Oregon, I visited the Red Lobster Fish Restaurant. Wow... did I enjoy myself there, and it wasn't particularly expensive. Ok, I know the Americans are going to jump on me here, and tell me The Red Lobster is a chain, but I loved the place. The food was excellent and the wine was good. If only we had fish restaurants as good as that in England. What would be your chosen Seafood? Would it be lobster, prawns, crab or a sea fish dish? The Red Lobster serve a delicious lemon sole, but I love all kinds of seafood. What's your favourite?

I'm an American and I think Red Lobster is good for the price. There are some very fine restaurants in which you can enjoy delicious seafood, but there's nothing wrong with Red Lobster either. My mom and I used to go have lunch there when I still lived by her and she always chose langostinos in garlic butter or seafood alfredo. Both are delicious and besides those I also like mild white fish and butterfly shrimp and crab or lobster. Red Lobster also does a shrimp lover's plate from time to time, which is quite good and you get to pick 3 types of shrimp to enjoy. We don't have a Red Lobster near where I live but I would like to go again (especially now after talking about it!). My husband and I went once when out of town and he had prawns and prime rib. Okay, thanks for making me hungry! :o)

Ha ha ha... sorry to make you hungry, Lady. Yes, the Red Lobster certainly comes up with some delicious foods. I did share a shrimp plate with my friend, or I had a few pieces of it and we also shared some mushroom dish... that was between main course and dessert! ha ha ha. For my main dish, I had lemon sole on a bed of mashed potato, with vegetables, and it was delicious! This was all followed by Key Lime Pie, which was very heavily flavoured with lime and I enjoyed immensely. Come to think of it, I ate a very citrus meal all being considered! lol. Are you more hungry now? See you at the Red Lobster in an hour. Yum yum! :-) Thank you for your response, happy eating and Brightest Blessings, Lady.

I shouldn't have opened this post since I've yet to have dinner and you are making me hungry again! :o) Since thinking about the different varieties of seafood at Red Lobster, now I have a taste for calamari. Oh, and let's not forget those warm cheese and garlic biscuits at Red Lobster. We can't leave those out! They also have excellent blue cheese dressing and I'm thinking that a salad, bread, and calamari sounds like a nice dinner right about now.

I'm afraid I'm not a great lover of calamari but the biscuits are yum and not only the blue cheese dressing, but most of them are tasty. Thank you for your further response and sorry to make you feel hungry. Brightest Blessings.

Lol... I would carry you piggyback to the Red Lobster for sure, Raydene! I don't think you'd like to piggyback me back home though. I'm not a slight person. he he he Yes, King Crab Legs with lots of butter sounds delicious. I think I could handle that. I didn't experience Olive Garden, I'm sad to say, but I did go to a casino, and another dining place where you could get all you could eat for about £7 English money. That's ridiculous, as it included a three or four course meal, and all the coffee you could drink. It would cost an arm and a leg here. The Red Lobster was my firm favourite though. The ambiance of the place counted for a lot too. Thank you for your response Raydene, and Brightest Blessings.

Oh yum! Darkwing, that is a tough one. I think I adore the whole caboodle! However, there is a fish I do not get to taste very often, called the Sea Bream, and that is definitely my favourite. Best served hot, I like it fried or boiled but not with a batter coat as that absolutely ruins it. It has large, soft, white flakes of flesh which go well with a little butter and squeeze of lemon, and I like a few fries and some sweetcorn on the side too. The taste is succulent and moist, very very slightly oily but not in a sickly way. It is a very satisfying food too, I have never required a sweet course when I have eaten sea bream. Thank you for this one, I am now absolutely CRAVING some sea bream!

Wow... $9.95 is equivalent to about £4.50. Take note all you fellow English folk... why are we paying almost THREE times that for a decent fish meal? Sorry, Life, I got carried away there. If it wasn't so darned far, I'd be joining you! :-) I wasn't kidding when I said I loved the place, and you're right... the service is excellent, as is the food. Moving away from fish, their Key Lime Pie was something to drool over too. I've never tasted such flavour full Key Lime before. Thank you for your response Life, and Brightest Blessings.

I too prefer fish to lobster, prawns or crabs. Lobsters are expensive, crabs are a hazzle to eat, and I only know how to eat the pincers. Prawns are fine but fish taste better to me :P

Seafood is yummy, isn't it? I do draw the line at squid and octopus though. I can't say I'm into that. Brightest Blessings.

Fish, fish, fish. It would be fish for me. I can't understand how people like crabs so much. It's not exactly tasteless but close. I don't particular LOVE prawns that much either. As for lobsters, it is ok. Fish still beats the rest. :P

The red crab meat is the stronger flavoured, Wiz. I agree the white is not too tasty, but some restaurants have the knack of extracting it, mixing it with herbs and other flavours, and replacing it. Then, it can become quite tasty. Lobster is similar to crab but has more flavour and prawns vary also. I'm a fan of Tiger Prawns, but often have a mug of prawns in their shells with a side salad and a chunk of crusty bread for my lunch. Fish... some I like and some I'm not so keen on, but salmon and tuna, as well as lemon sole, are great for me. Thank you for your response and Brightest Blessings, my friend.
