in school. Did you like standing up and giving oral book reports? I always took a zero, to chicken to stand up. I didn't even know how to write one.

Your not going to believe this one.lol. I actually had a doctors excuse for this. I had problems with a rapid heartbeat and anything stressful would trigger an attack. Giving oral book reports was one of those things. So the doctor wrote me an excuse. I remember I still had to write it, I just didn't have to read it outloud.

Do you still have rapid heartbeat? I hate to hear you have this problem but it was kind of cool to get out of oral book reports, LOL.

Yes, I still have it but my medication keeps it under control. But yes, it was great not having to do those reports. It got me out of gym class too.

You know, I can't really remember. I know I loved to write, but can't remember a time of standing up to give a book report. I remember a time of standing up in a geometry class at the blackboard and not knowing how to do a problem...really embarrassing. How I hated that class.

I would always take a zeroe as well. I got such good grades in English. That it didn'ty matter if i was docked points for not standing up. I to use to have a fear. Til I learned how to get up and talk to a crowd.

I was always nervous to do it but I did it. We could never take a zero we had to do it whether we wanted to or not.

I could write one, but speaking was not for me. Then my husband and I joined Marriage Encounter and we spoke all the time

When I was really young, like the fifth grade, I hated it. As years passed I joined debate teams and learned what you could get done by standing in front of the class. That led me to being involved in so many other things and gave me so much confidence, now, I love to be the one 'center stage' giving my ideas and information.

Definitely I like talking a lot in school and having recitations. I like showing off back when in High School. But I am not really sure about oral book reports. But definitely I like answering the questions of my teacher. Actually our whole section like having recitations and answering questions. Any questions in particular. It is actually odd if there's no one raises their hand.

In school, i'm not afraid of standing up and reciting when i'm interested in our lessons. I love participating in class discussions and debate, but there are times that i'm not in my mood to recite so i ask my classmates if they can take my place.
