it will be launched here in the philippines on may1.
what can you say about the movie?

I really really didn't like the EMO parts. i mean, I'm female and all that, and love korean movies, and weeped majorly at this japanese movie recently. but hey, spiderman is supposed to be an ACTION MOVIE.
what's with the hairy arm of kirsten dunst? and what's with all the long pauses? and what's with all the weird tobey dancing?
totally detracts from the marvel comic genre. bet there wasn't strange dancing in that one.
on the other hand, CGI was great. and venom was a bit too scary for kids. but the effects of the crawling sticky stuff was great.
also think the darkness of man's heart issue was not well handled. trivalisation of religion from spiderman's "go get religion' phrase. and what's with making the bad guys have this 'I'm only doing this cos I have no choice / cos you forced me into it' side? too many excuses, typical of the american 'blame my parents for my crime' tendency.
overall, glad i watched it on a free ticket instead of blowing my own money on a movie that was far too slow-moving at the start.

the philippine showing of spiderman 3 is actually a few days ahead of the worldwide release which is on may 4th. i don't think anyone has seen it yet, except maybe for its producers and some privileged people.
i am going to watch it on may 1st. we have already reserved tickets and i'm excited!

waiting to watch it next week as well.
can't wait to see the CG for venom when the symbiotic attach to eddie brock!
heh heh... the tickets are like very expensive for the premier... will be waiting for the luxury class cinema to air it, then will go with my wife to watch it ;)
