My little one is 14 months old. We don't normally give him a vitamin anymore. If he is having a day that he pretty much refuses to eat, we give him one that his doctor gave him a prescription for. He usually eats more than enough to get all the vitamins and minerals he needs, though. I have no idea if there is any that would increase a toddler's appetite. We definitely wouldn't need them at our house. My son eats more than me most days anyway.

I do give my toddler vitamins. I give him Vitazinc. It's a multivitamin with Zinc and Taurine. It's more of an nutritional insurance for me. I believe more in giving good, nutritious food, but I do want to make sure that he doesn't miss out on any important nutrient. I did notice that his appetite did increase with Vitazinc and when I asked my son's pediatrician, she said that the Zinc does increase the appetite. Since my son is on the lean side and needs to put on a little weight, that is good for him. Zinc is also said to ward off infections like colds.

Before 2 yrs of age, I gave them prescribed multi-vitamins contain iron. After that till now, I give both of my kids USAminal in the morning. I try to provide my kids all kinds of nutirtion I can, but I don't think I'll always give them a balance nutrition all time; hence, I rather have multi-vitamin for them.
