With most people studying to be nurses (even our doctors!) so that they can go abroad, plus the low pay, low appreciation, long hours and basically everyday frustrations; do you think it is still worth it to be a doctor practicing in the philippines?

its really sad this is happening in our society.yes,am also a filipino.but sad to say am not a doctor but even of that,am still planning to go abroad...its were the greener pasture is as what they say.... back to doctors...yes,because of this abroad thing going on,the medical situation of country is getting worsier...time may come that the doctors might only be available just by big private high paying hospitals. hopefully, before the remainig doctors decide to go abroad, they should consider theyre childhood idealism why theyre choosing to be a doctor:they wanna cure the sick people...and think that, why do they have to live to care foriegners while theyre fellow needs them to cure theyre sickness? ill pray for that...more power...

idealism is great but not when your stomach is grumbling. I forgot who it was but someone once said "Roses smell sweet, but you can't eat roses"
