I am not quite sure what you mean by this. Don't forget that our children are individuals, human beings in their own right. They have their own lives to lead and they must learn to love and respect their parents of their own free will. They are not slaves that they MUST be obedient, nor are they like pet dogs that one commands obedience from. You don't say what age your son is. While he is a little child he needs to pay attention to your guidance but you still need to respect HIM and train him to become independent, as he must and will be sooner or later, whether you like it or not. Give him love and the freedom to be himself and he will certainly reward you with love and respect in return. He may do what you ask out of love for you but he will never willingly do what you want if you insist on demanding it.
