What should be an ideal diet for a person suffering from diabeties & Thyroid?

I wanted to know what should be the diet of my mother in law who is suffering from diabeties as well as thyroid.her thyroid is under control but over the time her sugar level shoots up.

diabetes -bitterguard is really good for those people.eat lots and try to reduce sugar.
for thyroid, better take erythroxin tabler that will do good i ahd thyroid problem and now its fine. but i dont know diet for thyroid but for sugar ..there are many - have wheat mixed food that will do good.reduce rice consumption all the best
