'Weather in sydney is unpredicatble. It was sunny at the morning but heavy downpour started falling at the evening. The weather forcast said it will rain today. but I did not believe that since I saw the sun when I went out at the morning, finally i regret at the evening, but I could also see many people did not carry an umbrealla with them, they were running along the streets with clothes dampen with rainwater.' Do you always trust the weather forecast? will you bring an umbrealla if you are told rain is expected? Or do you always keep an umbrella or raincoat in your bag in case of sudden downpour? Do you hate rainy days? Do you have any experience that you have forgotten to bring an umbrella in rainy days? Will you wait until the rain stops or will you let the rain wet your clothes and body? There is not many rainy days in Australia,it seems that people do not like to carry an umbrella out ,especially those long ones. How about your countries? Do you always have rainy days there?

I think God decides the weather I do not believe it can be forecast if God wants to change the weather at the last minute then He will. I don't use an umbrella I get fed up of it turning inside out all the time.

if the forecast tell us that it will rain, so i will bring umbrella, it's true that God decide if it's rain or not, but i think it's better to prepare than we must take wet..

Rainy Days - Rainy days, cold and wet
One of the things my late Grandfather used to do was tap the barometer every morning and pronounce the weather for the day. I still remember him doing this and I guess that's why I always check the weather forecast daily now. Being in the UK means we get quite a lot of rainy days and I keep an umbrella in the book of the car for emergencies and I also have a tiny little fold up umbrella in my bag.

So is it accurate using a barometer to predict the weather?

It should be accurate, otherwise it would have been an obsolete invention. Or are you asking about it's accuracy in relation to other measurement devices?

I dont like rainy days at all. I often get depressed when its been raining for days. We get our fair share of the rain here in United States. I never carry an umbrella or raincoat with me. And often I get caught in the rain. Oh well alittle rain is not going to melt us.LOL

If the weather forecast says that rain is expected, I will definitely carry an umbrella, especially if my children are with me. I would not like myself or the children to get wet and fall sick as a result. In my country, we do have our fair share of rainy days.

True, even you do not mind dampen by the rain,it is better to get one for each of your children. The rain water is very cold and you may catch a cold if you do not have an umbrella.

Rains in my country are fairly predictable. We have an entire season of rains, during which it is a cause of concern or amazement if it fails to rain on even a single day, so whenever I go, I remember to take my rain coat or umbrella along. We do have a bit of non seasonal rain, but those will only be passing showers and never thunderstorms that occur for hours at a stretch. One can easily take shelter for a few minutes and go on when it eases up, but if you are caught without an umbrella or a raincoat during the rainy season, you are really out of luck!

What if you are in outdoor where you cannot find any shleters and you do not have an umbrella? I think it is better to have an umbrella in your bag as rains are so unpredictable in your country.:)

I'll look out the window first. If its cloudy I will. Apparently, the weather guy is not always correct. But, then I drive so I have an umbrella in my car. If I park close to the place, I wouldn't bother.

i don't usually listen to or watch weather forecasts. i am used to bringing my umbrella with me everytime i go out of the house. i use my umbrella when the sun is so hot or when it's raining outside. so basically, i am prepared for the weather. once i forgot to bring an umbrella and it was raining. since i was about to go home straight away anyway, i decided to get on with the rain without my umbrella. i went home wet. and my brothers just laughed at me. it was actually fun! hehe.

Where I live heavy down pours don't last very long. I hate to mess with an umbrella. I find that I get just as wet with one when getting in and out of the car as do without one. I do keep one in the car though. If I wait long enough the heavy rain will stop and I don't too wet with the lighter rain. If I were to have to walk a long distance I would definitely keep an umbrella handy because the weather man only give an educated guess about the weather.

If the rain is not heavy, i do not bother to tak my foldable umbrella from my bags, I just do want to hold a wet umbrella on my hands and carry it everywhere.

I never carry an umbrella. I have learned that I just get annoyed carrying it around when the raining has stopped wich it usually does after an hour or so. Usually I like to feel the rain - as long as it is not cold outside.

I always have umbrellas in my car in case of rain. We go thru dry spells where no rain in a long time. Then we may get alot of rain. Don't carry rain clothes though. Don't really care for rainy days either makes me tired. Good day to do nothing. Have been caught in the rain before and gotten wet just never know when will rain here either.

True, rain is unpredictable sometimes and that is why it is better to have an unmbreall to play safe,no matter in the car ot in your bag.

id rather take the umbrella with me coz as you can see, they both protect you from the rain but when the rain stops and the sun shines hard, you can still use the umbrella but you certainly can't use the raincoat.. ehehhe

i would carry both an umbrella and a raincoat when the weather forecast says it will rain in the winter. In the summer, i will carry only an umbrella. My jacket/trenchcoat which i normally wear to keep myself warm in the winter also acts as a raincoat due to its material on its surface. Perth is usually beautiful with blue skies here - it rains every now and then. I don't like rain but it gives us the food to keep us alive and the water to keep us alive as well. so it is good that the next whole week is forecasted to rain - even though i hate it but will live on the fact that it'll relieve the drought.

Most of the time I do trust the weather and will carry an umbrella or a raincoat just incase. Sometimes i don't bother and just suffer getting wet - we live just across from the metro station so if I get wet walking home, its really no fuss at all.

Well I live in the north of england so believe me when I say we are used to the rain. I always have an umbrella in my handbag any time I go out. I would never dream of going out without one. I know it is harder for guys as they don't carry handbags but then most of them don't like to use umbrellas anyway. Here you can buy umbrellas that fit into most handbags so they are not hard to carry with you.

Yeah, that is why we always see many guys end up stucking under the shelter when rain falls suddenly while women tend to have an umbreallas in their bag and they can just take them out when rain falls.

We get quite a lot of rain here in Ireland. We have just had four weeks of glorious sunshine, but that's all finished now. To-day was the start of the bad weather again. I always have an umbrella in my car but I wouldn't use if for just a light shower of rain. It would have to be raining cats and dogs before I would carry it. I do however, have a waterproof jacket in my car and if I think it is going to rain I will wear this as it has hood on it. I don't really like to carry an unbrella as it is inclined to get in the way.
