Do you believe that cellphones can be a breeding ground for germs?

TV Patrol warned cellphone users to be extra careful with their cellphones as they are good breeding grounds for bacteria and other germs and can cause diseases. This reality shocked me as I checked my cellphone, and indeed such is possible because the tiny gadget is placed anywhere and comes in contact with us when we make voice calls. Dust may have gathered on its surface, and how to keep it germ-free is still a problem up to now. Perhaps there are friends out there who have tips on how to keep our units germ-free, especially for units which are years old, like mine.

I've never heard this about cell phones but the ordinary phones are definitely considered breeding ground for germs so I guess cell phones must be the same. It is not the dust that causes it but the germs on your fingers when you use it and also from your mouth when you talk on it. I would have thought public phones would be more of a risk than your own phone. You can buy special wipes to use to clean ordinary phones and maybe you can use them on a cell phone.
