My mom likes to cook, she likes to cook a lot. So, we end up with lots of leftovers. Usually we would eat it the next day. But, when my parents aren't visiting. We usually eat out to avoid leftovers.

Can dogs eat rice? I thought they will only eat meat and bones. Hope you also take care of the dog's health. Thanks for response.

Would you believe that in my house, left overs is rare? Don't get me wrong...there might be a small amount left...but for the most part, that would only be a bit of Mac and Cheese or Green Beans. LOL Which, it is a good thing because my partner refuses to eat left overs. I have to sigh each time that we have spaghetti because that is always a time that we will have leftovers and I fear that it will go to waste because he doesn't like leftovers. So, it is either the kids eat leftovers and he picks up something out...or don't make spaghetti. Let's just say...we don't have spaghetti that often. ha ha But I like leftovers. :) That means it can be an easy day! Pop a plate of food in the microwave and dinner is done. Hence, Thanksgiving is a great day! Leftovers can last a couple days with that dinner!!! :D

I always eat my left overs and I like them prepared the same way and just warmed up in the oven. If there is still a few nibbles left after I have eaten the same dish for three days I give some to my cats.

my mom loves to cook but the problem is we don't eat too much so we have left overs most of the time. sometimes we eat it until the next day if we still haven't eaten them all we feed it to the dogs.

Hey massageeh, It depends really, left overs can be put onto a pizza base and have cheese thrown over the lot, you can make omelets and frittatas out of what evers left, you can do a fry up with garlic n onions, you can make a left overs bake, by adding cheese sauce and grated cheese and baking it all. You can do alot with left overs, feed it too your dog. I hate to waste food, theres always a nice meal you can make out of left overs, just add some herbs, spices, onions or garlic, just to give it a different taste from the night b4 lol. Last resort throw it in the trash heap...

To me it depends on what the leftover is. If it's something that I really like and know it will still taste good the next day then I will keep it and eat it the next day. If it's something I don't care for or know it won't be as good the next day I just trash it.

I respect that. The food we don't eat we will throw it in the recycling bin for the pigs. Where I live, the garbage trucks have plastic bins specially for the pigs to eat.

We eat a lot of leftovers in our home because it prevents me from having to cook all the time. I often take an ingredient from a previous meal and turn it into another dish completely. For example, if we have tacos one day I may use the leftover taco meat and onions to make a homemade pizza the next day. Leftover chicken can be used in soup, fajitas, or a casserole. Many leftover items can be added to rice or pasta for an interesting leftover dish too. If I have several days worth of leftover vegetables I usually make a big pot of soup.

Although the way the kids & I eat, it's a rare occassion that there will be any leftovers. When that rare occassion comes, we eat it. In my opinion a lot of the times leftovers taste better. It Gives the seasoning a chance to really get in.

I agree. But, I wouldn't keep it for to long. Sometimes, microwave processed food tastes gross.

I usually send the left over with my hubby to work so he can have something decent to eat instead of cup of noodles or a sandwich. This seems to work really well for us and I'm not throwing a bunch of food out.

If there are leftovers, I'm the one who has to eat it, at the same day.. My mom doesn't want any left overs. I'm fat because of that...

depends on what the food is, is it like spaghetti ill take it the next day, is it like pasta or something ill throw it away. But sometimes its good to have leftovers like pizza they are good to eat cold, the best is italian pizza cold they taste delicious, becouse they are so flat, very good.

we always have a lot of dishes and at home. thus it is unavoidable to have left overs. and we feel very bad whenever the leftover food becomes spoiled. so, in onrder to avoid this, my father will always reheat the left over food and eat it during lunch or dinner. he will not cook other food if the left overs are not yet eaten. or if the leftover food is really that plenty, they are given to the dogs. but that happens rarely since father would really force us to eat left overs to avoid wasting them. sometimes, if he has the time, he will findother dishes that will recycle the food into another menu. and even if it is a left over, i should say that my father really knows how to make those into yummy meals again.
