I see many great chefs, my mother, my grandmother, and me (learning) always taste the cooking, because with that I can taste the perfect blend for the cooking. But sometimes i see that not every person taste their cooking. But the taste is very delicious. So, do you taste your cooking?

I am a taster. I want to make sure it is right not just guess. I also do not truely measure ingredients either. I make a sweet potatoe dish that I do not eat so I have to wait till my husband or daughter is home to taste my work. Since they are the ones that have to eat it I want to make sure they like it before I keep going and mess it up. My grandmother as well as my mother both cook this way and they taught me how to cook.

I like cooking but i don't like taste my cooking. Usually i asked my mother or my brother to taste that. Because i don't like salty and for me all my food is already salty, but for other people there is not much salty. So i need someone who taste my cooking,

I always taste as I cook. I need to know what to add, adjusting seasonings and ingredients to get the right flavor.

I definetly taste while I cook. I taste for seasonings and for doneness. Sometimes I taste just because it is so darn good.

When I cook I don't usually measure anything unless I am writing down a recipe for a friend. I normally just taste everything as I go to see if I like the taste or to see if I might want to add something different to change the flavor altogether. Some people have to follow directions so they don't always feel the need to taste the food that they are cooking.
