Who needs vista when there are already a lot of open source operating systems running far better than vista before it was even out? Even if the whole world want it into the open, I doubt if the software owner will allow it that way.

if in any case that vista became open source. that would be the most stupidest thing microsoft will ever do. not to mention losing their billion dollar empire.

i dont think people would want vista to be open source as a better OS is already open source.
if it goes it would be gr8 to compare linux and vista and learn the security principles
but forget it MS wont do it

Vista will never go open source to begin with. Asides from that if it would it would be much easier to target malicious software onto Windows. You are pretty much coming with the entire blueprints to be used for people creating malicious software.
