I have thick, curly, hair and have had it all my life. It just keeps getting worse. The only thing I've ever used to tame it is leave-in conditioner. The more it's conditioned it showed calm it down. With mine it's hard to control. Without my leave-in conditioner, I wouldn't know what to do. I also used shampoo with conditioner and put conditioner on it after it gets washed. The key is to never let it dry out.

I use just the regular hard scunci brush when it's wet and a regular soft brush when it's dry. You don't need to break it or it will frizz something terrible. Good luck.

make it a point to comb her hair pretty well each night. after doing so, get a hair brush. brush her hair for at least 100 strokes up to 150. this will massage the scalp thus enlivening it and inducing a much healthy hair growth. this will also stop the hair from getting too curly and wild.
