Low Flybys, foot steps, and police. . .

Yup that's what this weekend entailed. Thursday evening we had been asleep for about two hours when we (my hubby and I)heard a helicopter fly so low to the ground that the house shook and the windows rattled. The cat fell off the bed and we jumped up at the same time and looked at each other! It scared us to death. After that incident I kept hearing sounds on our roof like foot steps.
The next morning my brother stopped by (he lives a block away). I mentioned about the low flying helicopter and he said he and his wife heard it too and it scared the crud out of them. Well after talking with him I think he and I concluded that the police must have been looking for somone in that area.
Fast forward to Friday night. We went to bed early because, being paranoid people we did not sleep well Thursday night. We were laying in bed shooting the breeze when he stopped talking and told me to hush. He said he heard a cell phone ringing outside our window. A little while later we hear foot steps on our porch. It took us a while to get to sleep (the paranoid thing again). About midnight we got woken up to the door bell being pushed rapidly. Hubby said it must be the police or our neighbor. Praying that there was nothing wrong with out neighbor he went to the door and as he was walking down the hall they were shining flashslights in the windows of our house. He opened the door after the police identified themselves and they asked if we owned a truck. No we don't own a truck. Well do you know whose truck that is on the back of your property. Well it's not our property but our neighbor was having a fallen tree removed and it was the companies truck. So the police went next door to go wake her up. We had no idea what was going on.
We looked out the window next door (nosey aren't we?) and They (cops) were shining there lights in her house and looking all over her property. We we went back to bed and after the cops drove out of our drive way I heard foot steps on our roof again and what sounded like somone jumping off the roof to the ground (which is only a 5ft. drop). Come to find out they were doing a drug bust and someone had run onto ours and our neighbors property to hide. Well that's how they found the truck with the drivers side door open and the keys still in it! They called the tree guy and told him to get his butt out here and get his keys and lock up his truck. They were afraid that this guy whome they were chasing was going to steal the truck and get away. WHEW!!! I'm exhausted! I need a nap!

wow talk about an ordeal or what, how much crap have you had to go through recently? Man, i really hope this doesn't effect you longer than it has to...
Seems like once you hear of the first problem, more come and more come, and i think it has a lot to do with our fear, worry, and so on, because we seem to draw it to us.
If there's a way to try and relax, after you protect yourself, family, and home, try something, and see if you can't forget, because if you don't your posing the risk of drawing more of this to you...
If you don't get what i mean, i have a task for you, go out and rent or buy the movie 'The Secret" it changes lives, really, it does, and i think it will change yours too.
I hope this helps you out as much as it has me, and friends of mine.

Wow, i wish my weekends were that exciting.
I live in a tiny country town so not a lot happens out here, the people are too old to be out of bed after 8:30pm & most of the kids here are slowly moving to the city.
The most excitement we get is when there's a car accident & the Rescue One helicopter goes over the house to land on the oval! We just sit on the front porch & watch - which is usually a long time & it gets kinda boring!
That's is a pretty fun-filled weekend, at least no-one got hurt & everything turned out ok.
You have to admit though, you were really excited by it all, weren't you??? :)
