Creepy TRUE ghost story

I have copy/pasted the story from the message boards over at the website of the Metro-Atlanta Parapsychology and Paranormal Group (of which I am a member). Little background...the incident took place on Lake Lanier which is a man made lake which has an old town/cemetery below it....enjoy... "We were fishing in a 12-foot rowboat around 1AM, about 1/2 mile off the dock. We were running a small light so that any other boats could see us, but no one else was out. It was fall, and a bit chilly. The fish weren't biting, so we were just hanging out and talking. A light began to approach us slowly from about 1/4 mile out, and we assumed it was a boat. As it got closer, we saw that it was a raft, with a lantern on a pole. There was a man standing on it, and he was pushing the raft along with a long wooden stick... that was the first problem, since his stick would have had to be about 45 feet long to touch the bottom. Suddenly, the man yelled something, and then jumped off the raft and started swimming toward us. We panicked, reeled in our lines, and started turning the boat to row in. Then the lantern on the raft went out and we couldn't see it anymore. We shined our flash lights out there... nothing was there, not even the raft. We decided it was time to get the hell out of there. We were scared of drunken rednecks or axe murderers, and anything paranormal hadn't crossed our minds. It was only later when we started thinking over the other facts that we began to wonder about supernatural possibilities: a log raft, lantern, 1AM, a mud pole instead of oars in a deep lake, a disappearing raft and swimmer, very cold water, etc. At this point I'll chalk it off as some hillbilly drunk, and somehow we just lost sight of the raft at a short distance, but it was indeed strange!"

Oh wow, that is spine tingling! Why on Earth would someone place a man-made lake over a cemetery? That's just asking for trouble. I'm glad that I wasn't in that rowboat, it might have capsized when I evacuated my bladder and bowels!!!

The guys experience doesn't creep me out. The fact that the lake was built over a cemetery does. ::shudders:: What were they doing in the water at 1:00 A.M.? Maybe that's normal?

SCARY! I love a good ghost story though I probably shouldn't have read this at 1am, now I will really have trouble sleeping! Glad my sister is here or I will have to sleep with the lights on again! LOL. I'll probably sleep beside her. I have a really overactive imagination and scary stories usually take up most of it.
