So with Summer coming up I am not loking forward to having to entertain my daughter all day long. She is 6 and I have a 2 year old little boy. Does anyone have any ideas of what we can do all day?? We have a membership to the Zoo & Museum but I know those will probably get boring soon. Any ideas will be appreciated!!!

My children are about the same age and sometimes I have trouble entertaining them as well. Usually, I'll try to set up playdates with friends who have children the same age. We also go to the park or to the beach for a few hours a day. Another suggestion is to go online and look for sites that have age appropriate activities listed that will teach them something. Good luck!!

Water is always fun. If you don't have a pool, go out and buy a small plastic one for them. Even the 2 yr old can be happy with water:) Some different activities I like to do in the summer with the kids are: ~ spray shaving cream on the outside table and let them fingerpaint in it. I usually will go threw a whole can when we do this, but the kids love it. ~ take a walk in the woods looing for different bugs...my kids love bugs! ~ go to the local beach for a picnic ~ go to the playground for a picnic ~spraying the hose and they run threw it ~water balloons ~ rainy days we hit the library Hope these help a bit.

Check out your public library they should have a summer reading program. And a story time for toddlers. Does your town have a parks and recreation dept? if they do they might offer some free or very cheap programs. Pack picnics and go to the park. Find a public beach or pool and teach them to swim. And my very favorite one send them to grandmas for a week.
