Safelist? Good or bad

I was wondering if safelist is a good way to advertise my blog. A lot of people are sending their ads, but are they really reading what others is sending? If they are good, witch safelist do you recommand? and why?

I use one simply called safelist.com....lol in order to gain points to be able to send emails, you have to read the emails you get, at least some of them. I would advise setting up a mail account just for that on yahoo...not hotmail cuz it kicks them back. That way, they're not going to flood your regular email account. This one sends out to over 20,000 members so its mass exposure. And best of all its free. you can get referals to to get more points as well. If you like, messege me and Ill send you a link.
