I heard from friend that I can call for free using the internet, but I don’t know how? Please if you have good free or low rates calling program, I will join it, my long destination is Israel and Middle East, how could I call these courtiers for free or just low rates.
And by the way, what is VOIP?

yes.you can use yahoo messenger (YM) to call, provided both of you are online and are on YM

I pay for vonage. It is a phone service over the internet. You pay one flat rate for all the calls you make and some countries are included. My mother lives in the UK and I can call her every day and it doesn't cost me any extra. I even have a virtual number that she can call and it is like a local call for her. I really like it.

Dude, the low rates online call that you may use Skype
and if really free calls, then u should and must have a tool which is messenger (MSN, Yahoo Mesenger even ICQ) which has function of calling, and all u need it just PC, microphone and download messenger from websites. Which is totally free of charge =)
VOIP is services that use regular telephones can generally make calls to any regular phone and receive calls from any phone.

yes your friend has said true .you can call free of cost from any where .you can do this using skype.skype is a software which helps in making free calls to anyhere.
