Have you grilled out yet?

Okay it is getting warm here, and with the warm weather we always grill out. We had our first today. We had pork chops, corn on the cob, and veggies with butter in foil. Have you grilled out yet and what? And for those who are going into the cooler seasons, what is the last thing you cooked on your grill?

I go on barbecue with hot sauce and that's great huh! It's good thing that we spent a time on grill with my friends before they left for US. Well, it's not the bbq at all but,, a good time we had.

Well actually I cook on the grill all year round. I enjoy pork steaks myself along with steak and chicken. You know, potatoes are very good on the grill also. I enjoy slicing potatoes putting onions in them and topping them with butter with some garlic powder on top and then wrapping them in tin foil. It is very good. Of course, now that it is approaching summer here, grilling will become more regular.

I did that to my potatoes last night, when we grilled out again. Only I added two eggs to my left over potatoes and onions from the night before and cooked them in foil on the top rack.Mmmm

we used to use a habatchi when we lived in an apt. upstairs. We could only do it on the porch, so it had to be small. i think she had some kind of small table to sit it on. We sometimes lit it just for jiffypop popcorn.

We grilled last week end. Had some bar-b-cued ribs and grilled zucchini and yellow squash on skewers. It was good and easy kitchen clean up!

We have grilled once this year. It was for our anniversary and we had steaks, and potatoes and rolls. We started grilling and just as we put the steaks on the grill it started pouring down rain so we had to close the top and run inside for a few minutes.

That sounds like it was an adventure. I have also grilled in the rain! I think our warm weather may be here to stay now!! My blackberries are starting to bloom and that is why I decided to start up the grill! A little celebrating or summer getting here.

LOL I know why! We love you too much to let you near a big pit of open flames!! Here we can get small grills that are only about 10cm across and they are good to use in tight areas where there is no garden (or yard to me). I love that I knew that garden for you is lawn or yard to me. Mylot has taught me a lot!!

We had hamburgers cooked out on the grill tonight but this is not the first time this year. We actually sometimes do it in the winter time too as long as the weather isn't too bad. My favorite thing to cook out on the grill is steak.

As soon as the weather warms up here, we strictly cook on the grill. I can't stand running the oven or cooking on the stove when it is hot and humid. We do alot of grilled fish, poultry and definitely alot of grilled marinated vegetables--I love grilled asparagus. I make grilled veggie kabobs with artichoke hearts, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms mmmmm... We don't eat much beef in our house (me never, and my middle daughter is a vegetarian of 3 years now). We have also been known to grill during our sometimes mild weathered winters too.

Mines not big on peanut butter either, and we too had the peanut butter recall at our commissaries. She, however, loves Nutella. It's Italian peanut butter spread, and if I am not mistaken I think it is made with Hazelnuts and chocolate.

I have never had asparagus! I am a chicken, I guess. We eat lots of vegi's on the grill too. My daughter was a vegetarian until lately, sort of. She would eat pepperoni on pizza and likes bacon, but that is all. The only beef she eats is beef jerky, and she was teethed on that.LOL She will now eat chicken, but not if it is cooked at home, and she like pork chops, but they must be severely over cooked and almost jerky before she will eat it!

It is hard to get enough protein. I could not get mine to eat peanut butter beginning in Jan. When I got VERY sick , and then we discovered that our peanut butter was tainted, I was GLAD she wouldn't eat it!

Oh I can't wait! We haven't grilled out yet, it has been warm enough but we have been very busy and haven't had a chance. I can't wait to do some chicken on the grill. Hubby marinates it in italian dressing and then also puts italian dressing on it while grilling. YUM! Like you, we do veggies in foil. Have you noticed that everything seems to taste better when cooked outdoors on the grill?!

I used to grill outside my house many times before. That's when I still have a maid with me. Presently, I only used electrical griller. I normally grilled fish, squid, pork and chicken if there's a visitor coming. Otherwise, I just buy some grilled food from my favorite restaurant. I'm a bunny who is too lazy to cook. I can only chew my carrot, LOL!

Mmmm, grilled carrots are good, too! And I don't think a plump little bunny should get to close to a grill anyway!! There are some evil people in the world that may take it as an invitation!!

We have been grilling out several times a week for a month or so. We just grilled some really good hamburgers on Sunday. We have also been grilling steak, chicken and pork chops. I love to grill those little hash brown patties you can buy at the store. They are so much easier than peeling or chopping potatoes and they get a delicious flavor when they are grilled.

when it started to get a little warmer around here, I couldn't wait to go to my father's house to see him working with the grill..the first day out, he made us ribs (beef), cheeseburgers, chicken and my absolute favorite..shishkabobs...at my house, the last thing that was made on the grill was steak and shrimp ka bobs..my boyfriend had no idea what he was doing, so the shrimp ended up a little..charred..lol

April in England was the hottest April on record (that's 300 years worth of records no less) .. the last week we were clocking up temps in the low 20C .. then the first week in May we were down to about the 10C mark and with ovrnight frost warnings being given .. I grill indoors all the time though .. bless george Foreman heheheheh

We had temps down to 22F or -5.5C. These temps followed highs for weeks up to upper 60'sF or 15-21C The flowers were beginning to bloom and then WHAM! we get below freezing temps again. It got about half the leaves on our trees, as well as my daylilies, iris, tiger lilies, geraniums, and the cold spell caused my Christmas cactus to bloom. We are in the clear now though. The blackberries are in full bloom and that means no more cold temps.=o}

Yes, in fact we cooked out the first time about 3 weeks ago, and then winter came again (not kidding snow and all)..so we had to put off grilling again until this past weekend. We had cheese burgers and hot dogs on the grill this past weekend. It was great! I love eating food cooked on the grill. We also just had some easy foods to go along with our cheese burgers and hot dogs, we had potato salad and chips and dip. This past weekend was so beautiful here in Northwest Ohio, where about are you located? I love to have potaoes peeled and cut into cubes and then seasoned (i forget the name of the seasoning but my sister bought it once and it is sooo good), then wrapped the potatoes up in foil and cook on the grill...mmm mmm mmm, they are so good. I am thinking that sounds good for this coming weekend. I hope it is nice again..=) Happy grilling

Don't know if this helps, nelly5, but the only two liquid seasonings I can think of are Knorr and Maggi LOL :)

We do a kabob in a wad(LOL) We take the meat, as well as all the veggies and chop them in cubes. We add all the seasonings and some butter. Then we separate it into individual size and wrap it in foil. They all go on the grill. It is easier to turn the packets than each piece individual pieces. Is the seasoning Lowery's? that is really good on fries.
