Me & my other half had to leave our dog alone for a while the other day as we had errands to run. And I guess you could say that.. She's not used to being alone as I am always with her a large majority of the time.. She ended up barking so much while we we're gone that.. It has caused her voice to go hoarse. It's gotten to the point where when she barks I cringe as it sounds rather painful. This has happened before with her but not as bad as this time around.. Usually it's gone away within a few days but with this it sounds a lot worse this time around.. I was just wondering.. Is there anything I can do for her to make her voice not sound so strained? Or is this one of those things where within just a few days she will be back to normal? Has anyone else gone through this with there dogs in the past? If so what did you do so it wouldn't cause your dog all to much discomfort?! . . Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

Aww, poor thing. It will eventually get back to normal in a few days. I would just try and keep her calm so that she doesn't get the urge to bark. If one of our dogs get a sore throat or even as a treat we will give them a Peppermint disc or even a Hall's Fruit Breezer. I know that there are going to be some out there that will disagree with us giving our dogs human candy but it works for us and our vet knows and is ok with it. If you would rather stick to the treats that are made especially for pets I would get some Frosty Paws ice cream for dogs. It's a nice, soothing treat. Hope this helps out.
