I do not like circuit city's policies, so I don't shop there. I rather spend my money with a company that cares about there employees and not just about making money. Circuit City is a monolopy company and they rather fire everyone then loose a few dollars.

Thats a very good answer! I used to work for the company... and that's all they would talk about... MONEY!! Had to be making a particular budget and the company is not looking good. I think that in a couple of months they will close a lot of stores and after that... I think Best Buy will buy the rest of the stores// LOL

well... considering I am still working there... the day before CCity let everyone go, Best Buy did too, they just didn't tell anyone about it. I think that the layoffs could have been prevented if they hadn't kept giving people ridiculous pay increases. It is quite ridiculous to pay someone almost $20 per hour to stock cds when new hires make less than half that. All companies are going to be money based and CCity may be doing more layoffs soon in the management area, at least that's how rumors are going.
