Actually I love horses so much that I will buy nearly anything to do with horses, no matter what it is! Sometimes I get things that I am not even sure what they are but there is a horse on it, so, I buy it if it is cheap enough! At this time in my life, a real LIVE horse is not an option. This is just my way of dealing with that. I call it corrective emotional therapy. It's a phrase I learned from the therapist that I had some five years ago in regards to something else but I believe the phrase works in this instance too.

I like horsegram soup, and Live Horse races. Why do you call your hobby as corrective emotional therapy.

Oh I call it corrective emotional therapy for myself because it makes me happy because it's horses and I put them up in my room and that makes me happy to look at them. I guess that this is the way that I get to be horse happy since I am not able to have a real live horse right now [which I would prefer to have instead of plastic statues].

And like you I have some odd things with horses on them, everything from an old piece of leather with a hand painted horse scene on it to mugs, vases, water pitchers,my sheets, daughters sheets...She and I are considered horse-ahalics! hehe

I like to collect stuff too. Things with a magical element. I think it's great that you collect horses. Do you think you have over 1,000?

Thats great and if it make you happy then why not. I used to collect horsey things, but now I collect unicorns. I have 4 horses of my own at the moment and they all spoilt rotten.

I know exactly how you feel! As a child growing up (and even in my teen years) I was absolutely OBSESSED with horses. I bought, collected, and read everything horse-related that I could get my hands on. When it came to birthdays or holidays, I was the easiest person in the family to shop for. Anything horse-related and I was satisfied. When I moved on to college and into my young adulthood I let go of the horse craze a bit. There were other things that took it's place, like getting married and starting a family of my own. Soon after that, my husband and I decided that it would be a good time for me to finally get my own horse. Luckily, he and the children got bit by the horse bug too! Now we have two horses and couldn't be happier. I guess the saying is true: "Horse crazy kids grow up to be horse crazy adults".

IS that what it is? I do it too! I also collect giraffes - and cats, but I collect the real ones of those too! I don't get just EVERYTHING, but it seems if I don't buy it, someone else will for me!

I love horses too. But i live in the city and the cosmopoliton island city of Singapore. We don't evern have enough land for the horses to roam. Owning a horse is totally out of the question. I can barely cope with my 2 boys, my 2 jobs and the house. - Lyn
