If you were stranded on a desert island by yourself or with a group of people kinda like lost or survivor with no supplies of your own, do you think you would be able to survive? how long do you think you could survive for?
Now here are the rules: you have no supplies of your own
there are edible fish in the sea
there may be some plants which you could eat but would you risk trying them?
there are trees to use as wood but it also rains every second day.
This is survivor and lost without the camera crew or the others to drop food from the sky.

at first it would be difficult but given time, i think i could survive. :)
i don't have an aversion with fish and i could catch fish. i wouldn't care much about plants but if i can recognize them as edible, i would try them out. i know how to build fire. we can either boil seawater and produce distilled water or we get rainwater to drink. as for shelter, we can be resourceful and creative.
it could actually be fun and exciting. very primitive and so in touch with nature. :)
i think if i don't get sick there, i would survive for 1-3 years, with company.
however, being alone there, maybe i'll die of boredom and loneliness in a matter of weeks. -lol- but if there are others too, it's easier to survive.

well, the process of distillation can take quite a long time. boiling, letting off steam, cooling the steam/vapor and you actually have to wait for every drop of water that resulted in the process. :)

I think I could survive. I'd build some kind of shelter from branches or downed wood. Build a fire pit. I could hopefully find something to use for a fish hook and I could use my shoe strings for line. Adding the lake was good. You would still need to fliter the water though to guard against parasites. I would set up a sand flitration system catch the clean water in my shoe if I had no other vessel. I would search the island for edible fruits and roots. Not sure if I could eat insect, rats or other disgusting things I guess it would depend on how hungry I really was.

It would be case of having to adapt, but surving without the internet and computer and tv would be a total hardship. Everything we have taken for granted would be gone! If you were stranded on your own you'd either go stir crazy or become like Tom Hanks in the film or both! If you were with others you'd get on each others nerves, but you'd pull together and create a community, a bit like The Beach, I loved that film, I wouldn't mind getting stuck on a desert island with Leonardo Di Caprio and the others! Now that I COULD get used to!

i think we have become so lazy because of the comforts of the modern world and the lists of needs we have developed. In time we would survive but it would be a hungry time
blessed be

haha, you are right - i couldn't even survive 3 hours without fresh water.
but there are some people who would be able to survive - as they are trained to.
Also, i'll add fresh water to the island - like a lake to swim in. but in realistic terms it would still be very difficult.

I think i can survive because i just once joined a group of persons go to our mountain overnight and i learn much about all the things they do on how to survive in such place. I can survive only just 2 days, thats my maximum.
