Late last night while I was surfing the net I was surprised to have an offline internet message coming from my father telling that I have to go to this website www.luvbin.com and tells me its a great site and its free from any spyware or virus but I got suspicious and didn't clicked on it after that I texted my father if he indeed sent me that YM message? Only to know that his computer was infected with a virus and its in the computer shop being repaired. He did not send it and i guess the virus got into his yahoo email address and sent to all in his address book. His Windows was diabled to the max as in he was not abelt control his windows xp anymore since the start button was locked already and his internet explorer seemed locked up with the site and it became his default site and changing was impossible to do since its already locked and cannot be changed. I was lucky I was not tempted to click on it and deleted those messages. Be warned!

I guess this is not only applicable to yahoo messenger and email once it gotten into your system it will look for your address book and send it to anyone in your address book.

I think your Dad's PC doesn't have an good Internet security software installed.Softwares like Pc-cillin Internet security can resist this types of email worms and viruses very well....Norton Internet security is also good one....I myself have Pc cillin Internet security 2007(vista compatible)....You can give it a try..... You can download pc-cillin from the following forum: http://softworld.phpbb3.com/ftopic2.html
