Im not really sure about this but i just somehow need to benchmark what others are experiencing. I have a P4 3Gz PC with T2 connection but it seems everytime i open up the myLot site seems too slow for me than the rest of the sites that i open. I noticed this for almost two weeks now. I always clean up the clutter on my PC all the times. Are you experiencinhg the same? Or basically myLot needs better server now (surely they will in time).

It seems to happen sometime, I use cable connection so that it should move quickly I also clean out the computer, and this is a brand new computer just bought, I started using my lot with it, and while many prefer to use Modzilla, I find that for me mylot lags even more using Modzilla. I don't find the lag all the time, so I think it could also be due to either time of day, or how many people may be online with mylot at a given time. It also may not be the mylot server but the routing that mylot takes to get to you. Sometimes if you go offline and get back online just down completely you will go through a different routing and this could clear things up as well. I used to think it was odd, that one country in Africa had their service run through Chicago, and got it from a New Jersey based company. Same thing on phone lines. If you are not from USA, going from north to south, the northern most of the three states for example would be New Jersey, then North Carolina, then Georgia. I once worked for a company based in New Jersey that had its toll free numbers for the North carolina customers out of order, the calls didn't go through due to a mud slide and to much rain in Georgia, I couldn't get that until it was explained to me how different areas are routed through different locations.

Hi lonewoulfe, i started a discussion similar to this about 2 weeks ago. I did experience extremely slow connection. When i first joined myLot, the membership was only about 72,000. However, if you look at the number of members it over 80,000. I have a Pentium D computer, 1G ram, and a 64000Mbps internet connection. But MyLot has been so slow i can make a cup of coffee and a page is still not up by then. I have no problems with other sites that i surf. In fact, i work with about 10 windows each time. I'm sure a server upgrade is in order or at least in the pipeline. Cheers!- Lyn
