Philippine Media Just a Pacquiao Media?

Rumors plagued the entertainment columns about a vacation in Cebu involving the crew of the hit Korean drama Ju-Mong. The crew, sans Song Il-Guk, who portrayed Ju-Mong, and Won Ki-Joon, who played Yeong-Po, due to commitments to their respective projects in South Korea, went to Cebu for a week-long victory party following Ju-Mong's last episode, which was aired on March 6, garnering a show-high 51.9% rating among nationwide viewing, besting other shows of the same timeslot. The crew packed for Cebu by March 7 and stayed until March 11. The news just shocked the Pinoys since no Filipino TV or radio network got some verification about the news. Even Global Media Arts (GMA), the network currently airing the Philippine broadcast, has no idea about this. When I checked out my Multiply account (add me up: http://lakasdota.multiply.com), I read Epi's comment about the media not getting scoops. He said that the Philippine media is just focusing on Manny Pacquiao (Pacman was preparing for his fight against Jorge Solis when the Ju-Mong crew's stay). Did the Philippine media not realize that the stars of Ju-Mong came here, or just that the Philippine media is all about Pacquiao? You can also react on the Ju-Mong vacation if you want.

Please don't take it againts the Philippines media if they never covered the Cebu vacation of these Korean crews. I believe that these are private tourists and not doing any promotional thing here in the country so they were better left unnoticed even by GMA. it would be inapropriate I think to disturb them since they are not the stars of the show. Well, the best people to ever evade media attention are the people who also belong to the same industry, right? But as it is, they were better undisturbed as they are vacationing here as private citizens. Actually, media people are already tired of attention. By the way, you got a very warm Pinoy smile on there above huh? Just a smile....

There were already a lot of Korean stars who took their vacation here in the Philippines, and I noticed they intended to make it private and out of media focus as much as possible because they're here to relax and enjoy timeout from work. Maybe that is the reason why nothing has been reported of the Ju-Mong stars vacation.
