are you a volunteer?

I volunteered with the local fire department where I lived in Texas. I did it for 9 years, on call 24/7/365, as a fire fighter. I loved what I did, beyond fire fighting, I also helped with fund raisers, and Fire Prevention programs at the grade school. In the area I lived in there was 6 fire departments in the county and only 4 paid fire fighters (in the largest town) all the rest of us were volunteer. I don't know of any of us that didn't love what we were doing, and did it because we loved it. Remember......... 'Volunteers....Unpaid Professionals'!
