yahoo virus spreading?

My father experienced this from his ym yesterday he received a message coming from someone asking him to click the link luvbin.com now from his address book it started sending same messages to all his contact person there and I even received the message from him. Luckily I didn't click on it since my father's pc got infected and had to be formatted to clean the file out from his pc. Has anyone experienced this?
