historically, jeans are made for males in the work force back in the day. Thus the durable material, style, and... the zip. However, when women started wearing the same jeans as men, the zips remained. anyway, it is difficult to wear jeans if it wouldn't have zippers... and generally females are more inclined to having an increased size in the lower abdomen area, so the zips make it easier to wear.

Zip is not only for what you may think a guy needs from time to time. It actually helps you to easily take them of, regardless you're a man or a woman. Zip or buttons should serve the same purpose.

There's no logical reason, it is just the way they are made. Levis has jeans with a button fly. And they are made for men.It is just the style.

I wonder if it is just easier in the manufacture of girls jeans to put zips in the same places are they are in boys. That way they could be for any gender. Also if there is no zip in, how are they going to get them on and off?
