I did. I won a Presidential Scholarship to attend a community college for 2 years, including a textbook allowance. I had a nice GPA in high school since I took courses like marching band, concert band, yearbook staff, paperback lit, etc. My poor university-bound friends were taking chemistry, trig, and physics.
