How do you find time to work?

Ok work-at-home-moms, it's time to share some good ideas on how the heck to find time to work while still taking care of the kids! It's not easy, that I know. Some things I do: 1. Work at night 2. Schedule phone calls and meetings so that I'm not caught off guard without a plan to keep kids occupied 3. Take advantage of neighbor kids and good weather and have the kids play together outside while I work (and can see them at the same time) 4. Encourage my clients to use Email more than phone with me (so I don't have to have kids yelling in the background) That's all I can think of off hand. How about you?

Great post idea. This is what works for me: 1. Get up super early in the morning, 5:00 to have some quiet time (I have three kids). 2. Work during my kids naps 3. My husband works at night, so during the day, he watches the kids for a couple hours while I work. 4. I plan outline what I plan on doing for the next week and I go over a to-do list daily. That's what works for me right now. I am always open for new suggestions and ideas. So, if anyone else has any, let me know. www.thedebtfreemom.com

This summer has been challenging because we'd rather be outside. I really only work during naptime and my older son watches tv then or plays outside on his own. Then I'm back on here after I put them to bed. So I don't work that many hours per day. I can work in phone calls throughout the day if I need to, but right now I'm not doing a lot of that.

I have schedule my work time on a calender that sitts on my desk. I also use a calender in the kitchen to shedule appointments and schedule of my work time so everyone in the house knows it.
