Very sick Little Boy needs Birthday cards... PLEASE READ

OK all of myLot friends there is a very sick litle boy in Canada that needs our help.
Seven year old Shane Bernier of Lancaster, Ontario is a patient receiving treatment for Leukemia at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
Shane was almost 5 years old when he was diagnosed with A.L.L.(Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). Not long into his treatment he went into early remission. July 6th 2006 Shane relapsed. A shock to everyone including his doctors.
HELP TO MAKE HIS DREAMS COME TRUE
On May 30th, Shane will be turning 8 years old.
HE HAS A DREAM.... to receive the largest amount of birthday cards so that he can be entered into the Guinness Book of Records.
Let's help make his dream come true.

I will have him a card in the mail tommorow, this is wonderful and I hope everyone participates. This could be this poor child's last wish, so I encourage everyone to send him a card. Everyone I know will. Thank you so much mickidmw, i know how important this is because I have a sick child as well. I'll be praying for him. Have a blessed day.

i'll respond to this call. i'll also post this mail (if you will allow it mickidmw) in my different yahoogroups. want to spread the word to other people. since we are on the other side of the globe, i better start doing it now to beat the deadline.
this is a very good way to help the little boy. you have such a kind heart mickidw.

Hi mickidmw,sorry for the late response.I have noted down the address and would be mailing the card at the earliest so that it reaches Shane before his birthday on 30th of May.
I appreciate your effort in helping him realising his wish.Yes,I think Mylot members will rise to the occassion and will amke it a reality.Hoping for the best.Thanks and Good Luck.

I will do my best to have a card out within the next week or so - i guess i have a while anyway, since his birthday isn't until the end on next month!
I really do hope he gets the record for the most birthday cards received. Has anyone else even tried this?
Hopefully they manage to fix him & he pulls through this awful disease - it's sad when little tackers have to go through something like this.
I hope everyone on this site sends a card coz i'm sure he could get the record if EVERY single person on this site sent him one, i mean, there is almost 90,000 people here!
